Peach Moonshine Cocktail

6 peach slices skin on and ripe 1 tablespoon simple syrup 3 ounces moonshine 1 basil leaf

Place 5 peach slices and the simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Muddle lightly to release the peach flavor.

Pour in the moonshine and add enough ice cubes to fill the shaker. Shake well for about 15 seconds.

Strain the mixture into a chilled rocks glass. Garnish with a basil leaf and a peach slice if desired, then serve immediately.
