Fill a tall glass with ice.

Pour in the tequila and orange juice. Stir gently to combine.

Slowly pour the grenadine over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect. The grenadine will settle at the bottom, creating a sunset gradient.

Garnish with a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.
