Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour the cognac, light rum, triple sec, and lemon juice into the shaker.

Shake the mixture vigorously until well chilled, about 15 seconds.

Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass. Garnish with a lemon twist if desired.
