In a small glass, combine the gin and Earl Grey tea leaves. Let the mixture sit for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours to infuse.

Strain the gin to remove the tea leaves.

In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the infused gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake well until chilled.

Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist or lemon wedge.
