Rub the rim of a chilled martini glass with a lemon wedge, then dip the rim into sugar. Set the glass aside.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the vodka, raspberry liqueur, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Shake well and strain into the prepared martini glass.
