In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup of cold water. Let stand for about 3 to 5 minutes to soften.
In a saucepan, combine champagne, sugar, and lemon juice. Warm over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Do not boil. Remove from heat.
Add softened gelatin to the champagne mixture. Stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in vodka.
Pour the mixture into shot glasses or a shallow dish. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set.
If using a shallow dish, cut into squares. Optionally, top with edible glitter or sprinkles before serving.
