Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin about 2 tablespoons
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • Edible glitter or sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup of cold water. Let stand for about 3 to 5 minutes to soften.
  • In a saucepan, combine champagne, sugar, and lemon juice. Warm over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Do not boil. Remove from heat.
  • Add softened gelatin to the champagne mixture. Stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in vodka.
  • Pour the mixture into shot glasses or a shallow dish. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set.
  • If using a shallow dish, cut into squares. Optionally, top with edible glitter or sprinkles before serving.
