In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy, orange juice, simple syrup, sliced orange, chopped apple, cranberries, and cinnamon sticks.
Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
Just before serving, stir in the sparkling water. Serve the sangria over ice in glasses. Optionally, garnish with additional orange slices or cinnamon sticks.
