Ingredients

  • Chili-lime seasoning for rimming the glass such as Tajín
  • 1 serrano pepper sliced
  • 1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice approximately 2 limes
  • 2 ounces blanco tequila
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec Cointreau recommended
  • A dash of Angostura bitters
  • 1 cilantro sprig
  • 1 lime slice for garnish

Instructions

  • Get your glass ready by wetting the rim with a lime wedge and pressing it onto a plate with chili-lime seasoning.
  • Add the serrano pepper slices in a cocktail shaker and muddle them to release the flavor.
  • Pour your lime juice, blanco tequila, triple sec, and a dash of Angostura bitters into the shaker. Add the cilantro sprig, fill it up with ice, and shake well.
  • Fill your glass with fresh ice, then strain the margarita mix into it.
  • Garnish with a lime slice before serving.
