Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar optional
  • 1 750ml bottle chilled champagne or sparkling wine
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish optional

Instructions

  • In a blender or food processor, combine the fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar (if using). Blend until smooth.
  • Optional: Pass the strawberry purée through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
  • Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of strawberry purée into each champagne flute. Slowly pour the chilled champagne into each flute, filling it to the top.
  • Gently stir to combine, garnish with a fresh strawberry if desired, and serve immediately.
