James is an experienced drinks writer and former magazine editor. Over the years, he's interviewed brewers, distillers, specialists in sake and Japanese whisky, as well as some well-known TV chefs. He now works as Senior Editorial Manager for Waywith, overseeing recipe publication for a number of U.S. food and drink websites.

James is a food and drink writer, published author, and former magazine editor with a background in language and literature. After studies in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik, he started writing for travel and lifestyle publications, soon developing a specialism for drinks and dining, before climbing the ranks to become Deputy Editor. His interest in spirits and mixology began after discovering his great-grandfather, Stanley, had once mixed cocktails for his wealthy employer while working as a servant in the leafy London suburb of Bromley. James has published two books (Isle of Wight’s Missing Chapter and Historic Isle of Wight Food).
