This sparkling Peach Vodka Drink is made with fresh fruit, peach vodka, and soda water for a delightful cocktail, perfect for any occasion.

It is not even officially fall here in New York, but with homework assignments, Sunday football, and chilly mornings, it feels like it. This weekend, we opted to go apple picking instead of to the beach as usual. As the day progressed, the temperature rose to 80 degrees, reminding us that it was still summer. Another cheerful reminder was the overflowing bushels of fresh peaches. With shades of peachy pink, vibrant yellow, and coral, they were perfectly ripe and inspired today’s Peach Vodka Drink. Not to be dramatic, but this refreshing peach cocktail is exactly what I wanted (dare I say needed?) when we got home from a hot family day at the farm.

Anyway, I enjoy the natural taste of peaches. They are sweet but not overpowering, refreshing, and light. While I will sip on the classic Sex on The Beach or the old-school Woo Woo cocktail, sometimes the peach schnapps can be too syrupy or too intense if not done right. Today’s vodka drink is made with fresh peaches, not with schnapps. We mix the fruit and peach vodka with bubbly club soda and a dash of grenadine, which adds a touch of sweetness but does not take away from the fresh peach taste.

Another attractive thing about the peach vodka drink is its simplicity. If you can slice a peach, you can serve this cocktail. There is no muddling, only one liquor, and it takes five minutes to make. It is also attractive. It gives off the elegance of a champagne cocktail with its sparkle but has a unique, vibrant color.

DIY Peach-Infused Vodka

While a variety of fruity vodkas are available to buy (more on that below), you can elevate your peach vodka drink by making your own infused vodka. Take a large mason jar or any clean container with a lid, add three sliced peaches, and pour a bottle of vodka (750 mL) over the peaches. Allow your mixture to sit in a cool, dark area for at least three days, but no more than a week. When ready to serve your peach-infused vodka, carefully pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer.

What is the Best Alcohol to Use to Make a Peach Vodka Drink?

When choosing which brand of flavored vodka to use, it comes down to personal preference. You’d be surprised how much the flavor varies from one peach vodka to the next and how much this can change the taste of your peach vodka drink. For example, Deep Eddy’s peach vodka is made with real peach nectar and cane sugar, giving it a much sweeter taste than other brands. If you are into sweets, go for Deep Eddy’s or Cîroc Peach. For a less sweet, more natural peach flavor try Absolut Peach or Seagram’s Peach Vodka. Both of these brands are pretty affordable.

What glass and garnish to use?

For the peach vodka drink, use a highball, collins, or coupe cocktail glass (pictured here) if you want to be fancy. A garnish isn’t necessary since you have the sliced peaches in the drink.

Can I leave out the grenadine?

Yes, you can definitely leave out the grenadine if you want a less sweet, lighter peach vodka cocktail. If you need a substitute a dash of cranberry juice or peach nectar would work nicely.
