Prosecco with Cranberry and Orange

I always overbuy Prosecco or champagne every holiday season. (And cheese, for some reason.) I don’t know what I think is going to happen, but I usually have an extra two or three bottles after Christmas and New Years. It’s a good problem to have, I enjoy drinking bubbles out of a nice glass. It makes me feel fancy. Even though I am usually drinking it while in my pajamas. I celebrate that I made it to Christmas morning (it’s no joke for moms you guys) with homemade cinnamon rolls and a glass of bubbles. Then I go take a very long nap after we open presents.

If I have a big Christmas party, I make a huge punch bowl of my Jingle Juice. It serves two purposes, it is beautiful and can be a centerpiece on the table. It also keeps me from having to have a full bar. I have a signature cocktail along with wine and beer. If I am having a smaller party (or just feel like having a fancy drink) I make these. I always have Cointreau or Grand Marnier in my liquor cabinet. A splash of orange liqueur and cranberry juice with some garnish and a simple glass of Prosecco becomes something even more special.

You can also make an alcohol-free version of these if you want to make something fun for the kids. Sparkling apple cider, a splash of orange and cranberry juices, and the same garnish. I like to keep fancy plastic glasses in the house for the kids during the holidays. It’s the little things like sipping a drink out of fancy glass that they will remember.
