Some folks wait until Friday to unwind, but why not enjoy a Ruby Relaxer on a Tuesday night, just for the heck of it?

There are many people in the world who will turn their noses up at certain restaurant or fast food chains. Understandable, I’ll admit. If you live somewhere like New York, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, or any major metropolis, you have some of the very best cuisine that the world has to offer right outside your door. So why would you forgo a five-star experience for a burger, fries and neon-colored cocktail at a place like Ruby Tuesday? Or why not?
I think I took spots like Tuesday’s, Chili’s, Applebee’s, Red Robin or Olive Garden for granted, having grown up around them. The list is pretty long actually, as each part of the world has its own family-friendly restaurants like the ones that were mentioned. Most also happen to have a bar. As a result, these fun, colorful eateries often have a cocktail menu, sometimes featuring their own creations.
Tonight’s cocktail is one of those. The Ruby Relaxer is said to be from Ruby Tuesday. A sweet and tasty mixture that includes coconut rum, vodka and peach schnapps, when I made this recipe for myself, I was immediately transported back to those Friday nights out with my family. We’re sitting at a corner table under a classic Marx Brothers movie poster, or an oversized photo of Buster Keaton, chowing down on potato skins, goofing off with Mom and Dad, and looking forward to the weekend.
I was just old enough to order an adult beverage or two and, despite being grown, still relished those moments when I could still be a kid.
What Is The Best Alcohol To Use In A Ruby Relaxer?
I’m a progressive guy, but I also like my traditions and old reliable stalwarts. Whenever I need to use peach schnapps, I always reach for the first one that ever hit the store shelves, DeKuyper Peachtree. And for the coconut rum, Malibu is easy to find and a popular go-to spirit. Kōloa in Hawaii also produces a fantastic, top-shelf version. With these flavors swimming around together, along with pineapple and cranberry juices, as well as the extra sweetness from the grenadine, I recommend going with an unflavored, clean-tasting vodka. My favorites are Chopin from Poland, and Nikka Coffey from Japan.

Hmmm… This is an interesting query, but I’m not brave enough to try. In all seriousness, I’m sure you can.
