Enjoy the kick and spice of this classic without the alcohol, by making yourself a Virgin Bloody Mary.

For years, many have believed that a classic Bloody Mary cocktail is the cure for a head-splitting hangover. But the truth is, well… that’s not actually true. While many of the vitamins and electrolytes that are present due to ingredients like celery and tomato juice will alleviate some of the aches and pains of overindulgence, the same could be said for a few ibuprofen and a glass of water. Many professional drinkers also claim that “the hair of the dog that bit you” is also a remedy for a rough, booze-induced morning. While this might do the trick sometimes, waking up and having a beer just to feel better might be a sign that you should probably start taking it easy.
Tonight’s recipe can help a little in that just cause. The Virgin Bloody Mary has all the basic, spicy and sometimes eye-watering elements of the classic vodka-based libation. That particular spirit is a great ingredient because it melds and blends so well with what it’s mixed with. If you’re taking a little vacation from the devil’s juice, you’d be hard-pressed to notice there’s no alcohol in the mocktail version.
So let’s say that you went a little crazy last night, even finishing all of the unattended drinks that were left behind. For starters, eww. Don’t do that. Your head and stomach will thank you for it in the future. As for now, if you feel you need the kick and comfort of a Bloody Mary, start off with the liquor-less virgin version.
What Is The Best Alcohol To Use In A Virgin Bloody Mary?
Well, this is an easy question to answer. No alcohol is the best to use in this mocktail. A Virgin Bloody Mary, or any “virgin” drink for that matter, is one that is served with no liquor mixed in whatsoever. The Bloody Mary is such a full-bodied experience that if you served a booze-free serving to someone, it might take a little while for them to even notice. Of course, if you’d like a traditional Bloody Mary, just put the vodka back in.

WHAT GLASSWARE AND GARNISH ARE USED?
Fill a salt-rimmed rocks glass with ice. Once your mocktail has been strained in, garnish with a celery rib and lemon wedge.
COULD THIS ALSO BE CONSIDERED A VIRGIN BLOODY MARIA?
Well, since the difference between a Bloody Mary and a Bloody Maria is the spirit used, yes, I suppose this could also be a Virgin Bloody Maria.
