Spread some seasonal cheer by ladling out the delicious and robust Jingle Juice Holiday Punch at your next Christmas party.

The winter holidays make those cold and sometimes freezing months all worthwhile. If snow falls where you live, you have that lovely crisp and almost blue moonlit cover over everything. Colorful lights are twinkling, smoke is curling from tall chimneys, and even the sounds of sleigh bells can be heard ringing through the trees in certain parts of the world.
But here in Los Angeles, it can often be timid weather at best when Christmas rolls around. It’ll be chilly, don’t get me wrong, and in some towns nearby, downright icy, but there’s no snow on Santa Monica Boulevard. So when many of us get together out here to celebrate the season, we’re usually in ugly sweaters, themed t-shirts or Santa hats… just in case people forget what time of year it is, what with all those palm trees and sweet sunsets.
And when everyone is gathered around the trimmed tree, be it palm or fake, and singing along to The Beach Boys’ “Little Saint Nick”, what’s in their hand? Some hot cocoa, perhaps? A little Spiked Eggnog? How about something really festive, like tonight’s recipe?
The Jingle Juice Holiday Punch is both colorful-looking and full-bodied. A spiced and sweet swirling of citrus flavors, tropical notes, sparkling soda and spirits like rum, triple sec and amaretto, this Holiday Punch is an unforgettable cupful of comforting sips and seasonal sunshine.
What is the best alcohol to use in the Jingle Juice Punch?
There is quite a bit of juice jingling around in this Punch recipe, from no less than six different fruits! Adding some lovely bite and suitably spiced warmth is a blend of three different spirits. Our recipe recommends Captain Morgan for the spiced rum, which is a great choice for a large batch concoction like this one. Grand Marnier adds a wonderful orange-tinged sophistication, and the nutty sweetness from a Disaronno amaretto rounds out the sumptuous balance of Christmas notes in each sip.

Ingredients
Citrus Sugar:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 teaspoon grapefruit zest
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Punch:
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup lime juice
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1 cup grapefruit juice
- 3/4 cup citrus sugar
- 1 cup mango nectar
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 3 3/4 cups Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
- 2 1/4 cups Grand Marnier
- 1 1/2 cups Disaronno amaretto
- 3 cups sparkling water
- Frozen orange, lemon, lime and grapefruit slices and frozen cranberries for garnish (see notes)
Instructions
- Make the citrus sugar by combining the sugar, zests, ginger, and cinnamon. Rub the zest between your fingers to release the oils. Let sit at room temperature for 4 hours, or up to a few days in an airtight container.
- Peel the skins off the lemons, limes, oranges, and grapefruits and juice.
- Make the punch by adding the sugar to the bottom of the punch bowl.
- Pour in the juices, followed by the mango nectar and pineapple juice, and stir to start to dissolve the sugar.
- Pour in the rum, triple sec, and amaretto. And the sparkling water.
- Garnish with frozen cranberries and fruit slices. Give it a taste, just to make sure that it tastes wonderful and balanced.

What glassware and garnish are used?
Make sure you have a punchbowl big and sturdy enough to carry this potent seasonal potion. It’s not just going to be filled with a delicious beverage, but with a plethora of fresh fruit slices and cranberries for garnish, too. Pour portions out into little punch cups when serving.
What kind of soda should the Jingle Juice be topped with?
Our recipe suggests a sparkling water, or club soda, adding no extra taste and only a wonderful effervescence, as well as softening some of the intense mixture of flavors. If you like a little more sweetness on top, as well as fizz, you can use a lemon-lime soft drink, or even a grapefruit or orange soda, depending on what you like.
